1800 sent in....

We completed our 1800 on Wed. Sept 23. It went out fed ex on Th and should arrive in chicago by fri. We are praying that all of the papers are in order and it is a smooth approval.

Official Acceptance letter sent

We sent the official acceptance letter today September 22!

We are beginning to fill out the I800.
We are waiting for the return of
FBI fingerprint cards
apostille for 3 documents and
we are almost ready to make travel plans!!!

ON Friday, September 11th we had a coop field trip for homeschool. We met at the 400 trail and rode 7 miles to LaValle for pizza. I brought my phone..half anticipateing a call, half not expecting to hear for a few days. We made it to LaValle and just sat down to our table when the phone rang. It was CHSFS....I went outside and wrote down all of the information about our babies on the childrens menu from Trail Break Pizza. As we finished the talk, she said she had pictures and would send them that afternoon.

I don't think I could ride fast enough home. But knew we would have to wait for Mike and Olivia anyway at 3:30.

Everyone came home and we sat a the laptop...found the email and BLANK....it asked if this was the right email....AGH....no pictures. We called the office and our worker went home for the day. The gal we talked to said we might need to wait until Monday....absolutely...no way...

The office got ahold of our worker who had them send the files. Around 4:25, we had our pictures...we gathered around the laptop again and were BLOWN away with the pictures of these sweet children. They are more beautiful than we would ever imagine!

We found our Babies!!!

September 10th 12:50 pm We received a call from CHSFS. I almost diid not answer because we have had such delays and disappointments. The first words were we have information on your referral. I said..oh awesome...with not a hint of excitement, because I was anticipating more waiting time. Then I heard, we have the names and ages of 2 children. And I said....YOUR KIDDING...this time...way more excited. She went on to say the first was a boy and he just turned 6 in August and the second is a little girl who will be 5 on Sept. 21 ( our anniversary) I asked what the names were and was told the little boy was Diego and the little girl was Yirley...like shirley..( which was later corrected because our baby's name is YERLY) She told me that this was the only information she was given, but she would call tomorrow with the details of these children AGH...I went out into the hallway from my bedroom and told Gretta, Ella and Dayne to pack up, we were going to get Pop and Olivia...we have children. They looked shocked and jumped up and down saying YES!!! I called Mike and told him I had great news...we were given the names and ages of 2 children. He said...You are kidding...ha Your Kidding...I told him we would meet at the high school and grab Olivia so I could tell everyone the news at the same time.

I grabbed our best wine glasses, some sangria we saved from mexico and a danish in a picnic basket. One our way to the high school, I yelled at our neighbor Mary out the window we had a referral...awesome.

We met Mike at RAHS...I went in to find Olivia and she was still out driving. We had to wait 30 munites for her to return. When she drove in, I went up to the car and told her...we got our referral...she said WHAT? she went inside and went to grab her things.... Meanwhile Mike is dying for indormation on our babies...threatening to hurt me if I don't tell him soon.

Olivia came and we drove up to the park on the hill of hwy 23. We found a picnic table and the talk of the day was that Ellen was the new american idol judge...so I started talking about that and they all jumped on me....come on!! So we sat down and I told them exactly like I was told. It was 2 children...etc...
As I told them the details, each one of us had tears. It was a very cool moment.

We had football practice that night...but after practice..we went to CANCUN and celebrated with a fiesta of tacos for our newest blessings.
